Video conversion is the process of converting a video from one format to another, where the video format includes its resolution, the video and audio codecs used (such as H.264 and AAC), and the aspect ratio (such as 4 : 3 or 16): 9), bit rate and container format (eg MP4, MOV, etc.).
If the original format of the video cannot be played on the target device (such as a computer / smartphone) or cannot be played on a specific distribution channel (such as a website / social platform), it needs to be converted.
The video may also need to be converted to reduce its file size to facilitate sharing, storage or playback.
